Short description of the project

According to international human rights organizations, if the current dynamics maintains, women will be equal in rights with men only in 70 years. The issues of gender inequality are also important in Ukraine, in particular, in the areas of business (management of companies and salaries for their management); public administration; labor relations; distribution of material goods; domestic violence, etc. Interdisciplinary rather than specialized research will help to screen the real scale of the problem in various spheres of society and develop effective ways to overcome it, also at the regulatory level. Trainings and micro-courses will be developed, grant applications will be submitted.

The most significant results achieved.

Approaches to understanding the concept of “gender identity” are improved; the areas with the greatest risk of discrimination on the grounds of gender identity and sexual orientation are defined; the prohibition of discrimination on the grounds of gender identity and sexual orientation as a component of the right to decent work is revealed; recommendations are developed to improve the legislation regarding the prohibition of discrimination on the abovementioned grounds.
